Stuck in purgatory for how long - have a job but know services isn’t wanted
Look, I like CA services—but every fricken time I put them in a deal—or even a SOW—the work gets outsourced. Maybe it’s not having available resources but from APM to Workload Automation, the past couple years has just been using someone else on CA’s paper—I’m sure BC can do this as well.
Spot on! If you cut all the fat management layers (which are doing nothing but Salesforce reporting and add unnecessary approval layers) you’ll turn CA Services into a competitive and profitable unit.
Let’s just hope BC understands that a lean, professional and effective services organization is key to avoid customer churn.
Nearly All senior managers (VP and higher) in every central function will be gone Day 1. Broadcom doesn’t want them and they don’t want Broadcom. They’ll have large severance packages and over $150K in RSUs that will immediately vest. Why stay, get a demotion in title, and work for some bean counter at a chip company?
Not sure what will happen to he rank and file but expect some cuts and transitions in high cost locations....
The real true is all seniors managers from services will be fired. Services have a inverse pyramidal organization, lot of senior management doing nothing and very expensive.
All of this managers knows that they will be fired. For this they share this non official message.
In services you can drop a 90% of management without impact in real business and preserving all knowledge.
I´m in Europe, but my US colleagues said to me that all are rumors, no official
@VM8v6cA-1wbb If you don't believe it, go take a look at the calendar in Outlook for any of the NA services staff. My manager is hosting call for additional Q&A today now that we've had a day to digest it.
What a load of BS
Facts please!
Sold to ?
What town hall?
Please, not rumors. Real info only.
Well, not sure sold equals to dead. Perhaps it’s a chance...
She did host a services optional all hands today.
It was on her all hands call today. Broadcom is actively shopping it now so that they can sell it once they own CA.
Just strange that a fellow so clearly mentions a person reporting a confirmation ...
Will or have already been? And to whom?
Where is this info ?
I have not heard it
