Jacobs to Exit Refinery and Chemical Plant Project work.

Jacobs announced yesterday that it is selling its “Energy, Chemicals & Resources” business unit to Worley Parsons.

Jacobs will be left with only two businesses:

• Aerospace, Technology, Environmental & Nuclear

• Buildings, Infrastructure & Advanced Facilities

All those people will be Worley Parsons people sometime in the first half of 2019.

Jacobs said that the business wasn’t profitable. Maybe those lump sum projects played a role?

Apparently, delighting Refining and Chemical clients is impossible.....pretty much lines up with my experiences.

If Worley Parsons are taking over that will surely mean that all work will be farmed out South Korea, Beijing, Mumbai, etc., etc. They don't give a damn for the Canadian people.

They sawed off a leg from their tripod because it was a little shorter than the other two.
