Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

How Reuters, TR and now Refinitiv lost the wheels?

Do you this book? well now they can add the Refinitiv chapter.. TR never cared about their customers. Remember when they launched Eikon and pushed the c-appy product to all they key customers? They spent more than 1 Billion dollars when other small companies had better software from a fraction of that cost.

If you read the story of Lord David Thomson you will find that he didn't care about his first child, Do you really think he care about his employees? The lucky people are the ones leaving because when this boat sinks you will see the rats jumping.

I still have a copy of the book - 'Breaking News - How The Wheels Came Off At Reuters'; 2003 ISBN 1-84112-545-8. A terrific read with a multitude of stories around the history of Reuters before Glocer and Wenig sold out to Thomson. At the time Glocer said he looked forward to writing the preface to the second edition of this book, which he says will tell the story of how he turned the company around and restored its fortunes. The Baron will be turning in his grave...

Glad to be out of there.
