I wish everyone would stop whining. There's nothing in it for broadcom to tell employees any earlier than they want to. Waiting till late gives them the flexibility to decide if someone is going to be held temporarily or fired right away.

We don't live in in an app economy. We live in a gig economy as far as corporate management is concerned. It is been that way forever literally since the beginning of the industrialized Revolution. A few years in the 50s where unions and employees held the upper hand in some Industries, not most, is foolishly thought of as a normal in the USA.
