I spent 7 years at Rambus, some were good and some were not. I left 4 months ago… Rambus changes direction all the time, the execs are finicky and will turn on a dime. There is a major of expertise to create real world class products from research results. On the software side, things are not good as Rambus is lacking direction and leadership – the company would be much better off if they were to stick to a firm strategy, stop meandering and talk to the engineers more directly so executives can get some feedback.
I hear there some layoffs too, not sure how big and when…
