Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

How to make the time go by faster

GIS poster here. Since late August, there's been next to nothing to do.

I get in late and leave early, but what do you guys do to pass the time?

@VFNh4ij-1hfa You are absolutely right. R&D is just a cesspool of stagnation and lack of creativity. Whenever layoffs come I always wonder why all of those developers who do nothing but outdated legacy work never seem worried about finding new jobs.

Can't wait till they get a dose of reality once they are cut.

I think all CA employees caused the YouTube crash yesterday, so many people watching videos collapsed the Mainframe

you guys should be learning third party and cutting edge technologies instead of doing your mundane routines supporting monolithic enterprise applications, the writing is on the wall, you have only yourself to blame if you don’t train and learn on your own time, or on the company’s time for that matter

Nothing has been accomplished for months. Leadership is gone. I seriously have not done anything for longer than I can recall. I watch YouTube and search for jobs. Just waiting for severance. The sad thing too is I’m recently told I’m safe.

I'm wondering now a company could do any worse job at an acquisition. It is as if from the beginning Executives were paid not to give a flip whether or not the company stayed intact and moved along. If nothing else, the damage to the CA brand is intense.

There are no new initiative so that means no work for my function. Good luck to everybody.

I’m in Santa Clara... seems at least half regularly doesn’t come to work anymore. Very peaceful (at least when AS isn’t yelling like a j--koff) and lots of free snacks

I'm in support and it's "business as usual" because I'm working a bunch of different deals right now, Management assigns and I work on them, "keep your head down and keep working your safe". LMAO!

I’d love to know the IP address where Mike posted that email from. I have a feeling it was based in California...
