Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Pixelation

What's up in Suffolk County with pixelation on lower and higher channels. Is it headend or amp problem, how about getting some people to fix it.

This is what y’all chose by believing in this company 95% of the technicians signed for this.

We want to save truck rolls so we don't physically disconnect any customers even if they are no longer a paying. Who cares if the coax is dangling in houses picking up stray LTE signals?

Actually the easiest way to fix it is to cancel cable

The easiest way to make ingress and egress disapear is to just make sure fittings are tight. It always goes back to basics. And sadly that’s where we fail all to often.

We are just finishing up with sun outages. I believe the 12th should have been the end of them. For the newbies out there, solar flares play havoc with telecom satellites certain times of year. So instead of just pointing the finger at some other dept, just tighten your fittings, run your drops, and ask a question in your shop instead of posting your accusatory bs online. Remember, if you present a question in a way that shows your actually interested in learning, instead of blowing off the job, you may get further, and learn something along the way.
