Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

Never, ever has CA management outlined the benefits of this deal to CA customers or employees. Why? Because there are none.

Amen to that

What beneifts? Bike Boy and his cronies will be gone. ICs will be supporting 3 or 4 less levels of

management. We will have other busniesses helping pay for the necessary bureaucracy. We won't be buying jet fuel and probably won't be sending a huge delegation to Davos.

Our profits will go to shareholders, which include us. Basically we won't be watching our earnings going into the bit bucket of CA's spending habits.

They don't need to do that to you. As far as CA top management and shareholders, they are out and done already. It is like you bought a house and rent it out. Then, you sold the house and the lease to a new owner. The renter is not part of the equation here.

That job falls to Broadcom which they can't do officially until the deal is close. Management who expected to stick around might communicate with us upfront though.

Yes it is. I don’t expect charity but I do expect that corporations should act in the best interest of their customers at the very least. Not in the best interests of execs, short term traders or corporate boards. And yes, I’m not stupid, I know what drives Wall St. and it is a perverse notion of capitalism. Just because it is the way it is doesn’t make it right. So stop your whining and accept that not everyone agrees with your notion of publicly traded for profit.

Stop your entitled whining. What possible justification do you have for expecting this acquisition to be beneficial to customers or employees? CA isn't a co-op, it's a publicly traded for-profit company. Honestly, did you really expect anything different? How naive can you be?
