I don’t give a sh-- how hard Broadcom is working to figure out how many people they should fire.
But please keep us posted when they do figure out if the day 1 layoffs are 3000, 4000 or 5000. And please make sure the Broadcom folks remain well rested.
@MichaelBichael that's how it is for us too. My direct manager, his director above him, and the VP above him are all claiming that my team is "probably safe" but they all claim not to actually have any information, they say they are just guessing. I don't really believe it but they're not saying jack.
My VP, SVP, EVP, and CEO are all day 1 exits, EVP and CEO checked out months ago.
Guy can say all kinds of things legally, heck look at all the actions taken “legally”. CA world cancelled, major projects cancelled, LDP cancelled, etc. All at the request of Broadcom when they had no legal right to do so.
If you sum up everything Guy has told us, it really is just small details on mechanics. He knows the rough number of layoffs, the offices closing, and the vaunted “go forward strategy” no one seems to actually talk about
I do appreciate he is the only one communicating in the ELT, I’m just not in the mood for praising Brodcom’s diligence or work ethic.
P. S. I won’t risk severance to post this stuff on Yanmer, just like Guy won’t risk severance by telling us the truth. That’s the reason all of leadership has gone quiet, their best path forward financially is to remain silent and let the bloodbath commence.

I don’t know about your department, but the only information I receive in my part of the world is from the Yammer updates. My entire management chain is gone. I appreciate the feedback even if it is not 100 percent complete. I really think we shouldn’t attack the one person trying to give us information and at least attempting to answer our questions. If he stops then we won’t hear anything from anyone until we are fired. People here on this site are so petty. I appreciate the people that are posting their real feelings on Yammer with their name attached to it. Man up and post internally to all the people having so much to say on here.
it’s a comedy act how many people post on that and praise him like he’s going to be everyone’s savior... sad, sad stuff
