Kilometers? We killed millions of commies and continue to guard all the Eurotrash girlie men to avoid using the metric system! Who the hell wants to hire anyone from that coddled continent when it takes forever to get rid of them?
@VDsnhFr-1stn You sound a little jealous there. How's the unemployment line lately? Still hundrends of kilometers long? You should get a head start waiting!
“Really depends on local laws. In my (EU) country, no one can get fired by Broadcom as 1) we signed CA contracts and remain CA employees until WE sign anything else”
Love Eurotrash and their attitudes. You don’t think there are ways around this? CA will be GONE. Take your redundancy package and good luck.
Really depends on local laws. In my (EU) country, no one can get fired by Broadcom as 1) we signed CA contracts and remain CA employees until WE sign anything else, and 2) there is no economic reason for such a profitable company to fire anyone. This means: if CA/Broadcom wants to get rid of any permanent staff, they either need to give us an offer we cannot refuse, or they will be stuck with us. Not a bad position to be in.
They do not have to wait till closure anyway, as it won't change that situation.
Management confirmed to us we won’t get to know anything before the 7th.
In NA mainframe engineering managers said we might hear as early as 10/15. Broadcom doesn't take over until 11/5 at earliest but their fiscal year ends 10/31 so hopefully we hear something asap. will be bloodbath when they take over.
Not true. A VP in support told our team we would probably hear about 2 weeks before close.
Til what? There is no way that they are going to do anything until Broadcom actually owns the company - after Nov 5.
