Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Anyone have info on severance?

With all the talk of lay offs, I can't seem to find any info on severance. Does anyone have any info?

You might have a better chance to win the lottery then to receive a severance package. Much cheaper to terminate people and let them collect unemployment.

The VERP, was broken up over three waves, to try and have the least impact and ensure a knowledge transfer. Its been offered once, doubt it will be reoffered again.

Severance varies according to what HR says it is and was not 26 weeks for most people. On "early retirement", what happened to the line about it being a one-time offer? One, two, three...

That's scary, why would anyone stick around, even if your a current employee you should be looking for another job, we live in a big planet no doubt ADP does not value employees they are like feces disposable , I was watching FOX Bussiness yesterday and they had a CEO talking about retention and the importance of it especially in a growing economy what a difference, guys don't waste your time or life at ADP there is something better out there .

Severance should be two weeks of pay for every year worked at ADP. However, it doesn't work that way any more. Long term employees are getting a maximum of 26 weeks where their paychecks are continued, but minus the health benefits, etc.. This results in higher "paychecks". That's what I got when I was laid off.

The good news is that many employees who earn too much but have been with the company a relatively short time, like less than 10 years, may still get the full 26 weeks. The bad news is that to avoid paying severance some employees are simply being fired for the generic term "not being productive enough". This is saving ADP some money.

I don't know if any more Early Retirement options will be offered.
