I believe the Intel Board will finalize the announcement of the new CEO in the next 6 weeks.
That person has a lot of work to do to re-structure Intel and get the company back in order.
The big question will be will the Board and the new CEO spin off TMG, and I also believe that announcement will come in early 2019. Good luck.
After BK totally destroyed this company in his quest to be the new Steve Jobs, it will take more than all the king's horses and all the king's men to put this shattered, meandering company together again.
In the current climate, if they don't announce a new CEO by or at earnings, no matter how great a quarter they may have they will get absolutely crushed on Wall Street.

This sounds plausible. I hope the board is at least aware of the reality of MR‘ execution skills & the truth about 5G execution. CC & MA are blatantly lying regarding the status & schedules to ensure MR has a shot at the CEO slot, regardless of MRs true skillset. MR is a b---s---ter, plenty of blurb & low on engineering mgmt.
MR can fool the board and investors by making them believe a 25k headcount reduction is the way forward. In reality, he is clueless and would destroy Intel in less than 18 months. Rest of Intel would become a shadow of the current ICDG.
The dishonest QC machinery within Intel today is a reflection of the true state of affairs under MR leadership
