Rumors are flying that part of the staff at SSGA will be laid off. They are now under the management or lack there of former GE staff. Again aquire/merge and layoff!! Glad I dont work there and recommend anyone climbing the ranks be aware.

@VAc8JeS Not really surprised at all that they will be laying off members of the SSGA staff. As a former employee of State Street I am still in contact with some other former employees who are peers of some who still work at State Street. My understanding is that in addition to offshoring many of the positions in global operations you would also expect layoffs in other areas of State Street. This is a very common practice at all companies today not just State Street.
