That’s pretty f---ing funny. What statistic are you quoting that Broadcom pays better than top US companies - I guess you don’t work for CA. Avago is a technology venture capital firm run by a guy with Asperger’s syndrome. Every Broadcom person I met is subpar - either a financial engineer or a shell shocked prisoner just happy to be there after their company was gutted.Gordon Gekko mixed with Jackie Chan and Rain Man
That's an incredibly stupid statement on two fronts:
1 - Oh course China is 54% of Broadcom's revenue, Broadcom makes chips...China is the #1 direct consumer of microchips by far. Then those products get shipped around the world.
2 - If you've been paying attention he's not cheap. Broadcom compensation is pretty damn good. Every salary comparison shows them a pretty steady 20 - 25% higher than the industry average. He just doesn't give a lot of perks. I'd rather forgo the extra perks for the extra cash in my pocket.
