2018.10.10; roughly three months after its all hands conference held July, in San Ramon, Kaiser Permanente execs have finally begun the process in earnest, paring down the bulging waistline from its information technology division. First round of layoffs have begun 10 October, 2018, with no less than 150 scalps, to include at least 2 DBAs amongst the mostly mid-level staffers cast to oblivion, poof-gone, forever. Rest in peace.

They also managed some senior IT folks out. A lot of folks did not get any severance and were forcibly put under the bus. Replacing with outsourcing. KP is hurting financially.
