Bronx field service tech was FIRED this morning (9/12/18)

Timeline: Sept. 6th - Official start of organizing drive / CWA held off-site meeting with Bronx techs which resulted with techs signing cards. Sept. 7th - Altice management sends out mass email to all Bronx techs "cautioning" them about signing anything from the union (typical anti-union tactic) Sept. 8th - 11th - Union rumblings throughout the Bronx warehouse as techs continue to get involved and sign cards. Sept. 12th @ 8:00am - Well respected veteran field service tech let go for a safety infraction. Some people believe that he may have been fired because he was one of the pro-union leaders and was considered a very serious threat to management. He was not afraid to display his support for the union and did so in several previous meetings. Sept. 12th @ 8:30am - Management holds 'captive audience' meeting with Field Service dept. Main theme of the meeting was to discredit Brooklyn's bargaining unit and promote the idea that Brooklyn techs are in no better position than any other employee in the company.

Any techs who come from Hawthorn to undermine our union efforts should be called out for being the rats that they are! Make it know, call them out to their face, send them packing up to their masters back in the ivory tower. We work for a living, we don’t need those leaches sticking their nose in our business. They need to be confronted, send them running!

I am sure they will be riding with Someone !!! Like Always when Techs come to the BX .. we work alone they work 3 man teams ???

You think MB and JC can pick up some work when there here in the BX will sooo short staff and back up with work it’s not funny only 12 OSP techs left in the BX.

MB went to the BX years ago as a Spy for Management... He came from that System so I guess the figured Techs would open up to him and spill the Tea !!!! Talk is he and JC are going again as Double Agents .. So BX guys watch out the Rats are coming ...

What a surprise. The same management geniuses who have halved the company's stock price in a year don't like their the idea of the employees having union representation. Guys, it's really no contest in the union vs non union debate. Look at Verizon's CWA. They got a 4 year extension, one year early! Vote the union in and then have the tech that was fired sue the pants off this beancounter led company.
