Any word on next round of layoffs?

Wise to do lay-offs before open enrollment.
The old DST had a habit of making layoffs the week before THANKSGIVING and also in DECEMBER and FEBRUARY!
The books (financials) looks better at the end of the year when they do this, plus, forfeitures on 401k for associates that are laid off are redistributed to associates who are active after February (2019)!
Not could, you will end up as a target. There are good managers but there are more whos only skill is shoving they're nose up they're superiors a$$. These managers are useless but untouchable and there are many at dst.
A few of us saw your post and know which group manager you were referring to and thought......typical! However be careful as she and the VP she reports to have been known to white wine indulge at company functions and outside of the workplace in the past and your mgr could have a protector on her side and you could end up as a target.
Omg, I would definitely squeal on the pompous id--t! Watch her squirm! And this is the class of management that runs SS& C. Stellar.

It will be done in batches q4 is a big quarter and the shareholders need to see progress. Q3 is just another signal, if dst doesn’t deliver its cash then more cuts than scheduled.
Had the misfortunate to run into a Quincy manager at a local beerfest. She had no doubt too much to drink and babbled on badmouthing various people in the office and how her and I were safe next month but of the four other women in the group she named the one who was going to be let go. Of course of the four she's the better worker/person. Now I'm unsure if I should let her know about my conversation with an intoxicated person whose husband had to apologize to others around us for her language and walk her away or just let things happen.

Unknown, when I ask, they say everyone going to be laid off in October already knows ie were previously notified. I haven't been able to get a number, my guess is more than 100.
