Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

Layoffs don’t have to be like this

Make it known what cuts need to be made and where. Open it for 60 days and anyone that wants to leave voluntarily offer to buy them out. This was done before and it cleanses anyone hat didn’t want to be there and didn’t make people fear for their jobs. Morale is destroyed right now. It feels like the years after 2012 again. Stop the soul crushing guessing game and be transparent.

Very disappointed. Not only being a graduate but also working for them for over 10 years. Not a thank you- Just - you are terminated - your position is no more.

1yfu- DCEH did receive physical presence in whatever states they choose to pull their “learning center” scam. And the funding will shift from federal student loans to state or local sources.

As many have predicted here, no more degree granting colleges by December 31.no more messy accreditation, no more federal scrutiny and no more fulltime faculty with salaries, benefits etc...

isp they didn't have to buy edmc to do that though - doesn't make sense - much cheaper ways to reach that goal.

jcf you are absolutely right - paid to shut it down --- same process they did with Grand Canyon

ISP: I think what you are saying is true, but wasn’t there cheaper ways of getting this outcome?

DCEH only wants to offer short diploma mill courses for addicts and homeless funneled from DCEH ministries that can feather their bottom line with disposable adjunct staff from India and get rid of the degree programs. They want no scrutiny from accreditors or from the DOE.

More to the point, they don't care because they're in the process of shutting EDMC down. All DCEH wanted was the assets. Not the schools. Not the people. The instructors, staff and students ceased being part of the equation a long, long time ago.

It's the culture - they want to show who 's in control - they don't give hoot who it hurts - the more they hurt the more empowered they feel - it's gross -- which it were different -- so disappointed with dceh
