Hock Tam: “Cut to the chase, we are buying CA for their customers”
What customers do digital sales have? Named account superstars? Hock wants the top 500, if he keeps the cheap help he will get what he paid for but look at his history. He’s much smarter than that.
What would they do with existing Customer Success contracts? Some go out 12 months or more.
Customer success , Customer Experiences, Global Escalations team, Remediation team etc etc will be closed. L1 support will be merged with L2 support under the same BU management.
Retaining Customer Success??!! You must be kidding ... the vast majority of that team is not funded by customer contracts ... it's not very profitable to keep giving away free ice cream. If customers really felt there was business value in it, why don't more of them pay for it? CX and NPS are great theories, but the only people drinking the Kool-Aid about their direct impact on financial results were the ones spinning the narrative and those who believed them. 46 pt increase in NPS over the last 5 years and financially not much to show for it.
CA Digital Sales is a well-organized inner scam.
Somebody had too much of that Prague beer!
Why would they put the future of all sales into a team who are cheap, but don’t know how to close? They can’t even qualify opportunities now! If this is true then they have no chance in hell of reclaiming the 20 billion they wasted buying CA.
Was the person asking about customer success joking? I think they were.
no
what about customer success and delivery managers? Broadcom will save those jobs right?
How many mutli-million dollar deals has digital sales done? The big deals don't get done without feet on the ground
Oh goody.... another person pretending they know something!
About time, sales is the most top-heavy organization there is. I've been waiting for years for somebody to come in and thin them out.
