1pbi they were - about faculty having academic freedom -- we had minimal then -- we have NONE now. JC tells everyone how to fart --when you are told to jump you are supposed to respond how high and bark like a dog. Soon it will be multiple choice feedback for students.

The meeting was embarrassing as it made the new president Monday Monday, Dan Garland and the DCEH board look like a bunch of dofuses for not keeping Middle States in the loop. MS felt that DCEH was trying to pull a fast one.

According to MS, AiP and AiO are one in the same, AiP is accredited and allowed to offer online courses. AiO is nothing without AiP to Middle States.

One statement from the Middle State reps, since they found out through the media that campus classes will be transferring to online for degree completion, AiO MUST be able to accept students from ALL states and cited Iowa not allowing AiO. We all also know, Oregon will not allow AiO to operate in their state. There are some states that will not allow AiO internships in their state.

Will AiP lose accreditation because some states will not allow AiO to operate in their area?

"A positive meeting in most respects"

Middle States has no idea what Ai is, they assume it is a college, like most they oversee and an "autonomous school" making decisions that are best for students. We all know Ai is not autonomous, administrators take orders from an executive board, they do not make decisions locally ever.

The staff from MS seemed to blame the faculty for not keeping them in the loop, but faculty have no authority to do so.

They said students were concerned, and students should be, their degree will be worthless is Ai loses MS accreditation, there is no way around that. Fortunately AiP has until Nov. 15 to hear a verdict. All students monitoring this site need to know you MUST graduate prior to Nov. 15. 2018, to guarantee your degree is from an accredited institution.

Does Middle States know AiP is going to semesters?

They did not know what the "one university" BR has been talking about was, "you're the faculty, you need to tell us." Like we know. LOL

This was a crock o' s--t meeting. AiO admins, JC, would not let anyone online speak, what a micromanaging money wh--e she is. It was hysterical when the Middle State's people said "you should have let us know about the changes, you faculty are where the rubber meets the road with students" like faculty have a f-cking say about anything at AiO/AiP????

"We have to make sure AiP/AiO is an autonomous school and makes decisions for itself." Bwha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, I've been with Ai more than a decade, online and ground, and NEVER has ANY, ANY Ai been an autonomous school, the board makes decisions, the presidents are notified, they pass it on to the VP, and so on.

"Do you have a faculty senate?" Oh, my side hurts from laughing. Middle States sincerely thinks Ai is a real college, where faculty make a difference. They must have been severely lied to when AiP was first accredited, they think campuses make decisions for themselves. Bwha ha ha ha Those fools were so misled it is pathetic.

A positive meeting in most respects -- it was more a question and answer - all speak out needs to be done by filing a formal form. Students are the first concern -- so are faculty and staff. So those of you who have something to say -- file the form and ask to have your name omitted.

Anyone have the call in number? It would be great for a lot of people willing to speak out to attend the meeting.

It’s going to be a joint meeting wit AiP and AiO on a call. AiP people will probably be stared down and AiO people are basically horseshit when it comes to standing up for themselves. They will not speak out against the great and powerful Jc or Jc. They wouldn’t dare.

That would be great -- but we all know how dirty Admin can be -- but so be it -- For the Students!

when we met with HLC recently we signed in and were assured that no one other than HLC would see the names. They were actually really nice.

Maybe someone points middle states to this website?

Let them explore on their own the misgivings of this company?
