If PJ is told by some verification manager, then that is just because he needs some reason, and so much behind suppressing one particular person whom he is insecured.

He managed to send person back to INDIA. That is his goal- to suppress others.

HR department at QC is the worst and less efficient than any company in San Diego. These bozos don’t do $hit, most of the days are either on training or OoO. This should be the first department to cut.

"HR at Qualcomm just regurgitates what they are told by the executive team. They are totally ineffective as advocates of employees."

Not sure if this is news to you, but HR has never been an advocate for the employee, in any company. HR is an advocate for the company; it is their role to advocate for the company and action the business needs for that company.

Just a little HR 101 for you, but HR doesn't help get you promotions or benefits or anything. They may help you to understand the benefits you receive or help facilitate the merit programs. Some things are given and made to appear as help or advocacy for the employee, but there is always a company end goal of "improved morale" or "healthier employees" that happily work more hours, and in turn, produce company money.

They may even help resolve conflict amongst managers and employees, but everything works to serve the company and its overall success. In other words, they help ensure employees get what they should (mostly for legal reasons to avoid the company being sued), whether that be equal pay, state mandated breaks, etc. HR is not your friend; they are agents...say it with me now...for the company. Got it? Now lower your expectations of HR. Class dismissed.

Qualcomm is company never for engineers. It is good to join when you are 50 years old for some director + position.

executives will always regurgitate what works for them. Why HR will bother, if it works for executive, it works for HR and company. I found it quite hopeless company to do career, first time when I found it hopeless, my mistake was that I gave another chance to this company. But recent NXP deal break is good. Now these executives will need to put so many hours, because net profit -per employee is 80,000 USD and salary per employee is 200,000 USD. that means Qualcomm future is near or to atleast keep it sustainable, qualcomm needs massive layoff in near future so profit: salary per employee ratio is 1:1, ideally it shouldbe >(1+:1)

You must take swift action, it is EEOC, if guy can be staff engineer and get paid $145000 for doing same job and has same experience, why women as to do it for just $125000 and also they are expected to do much more than what guy did to get promotion. Its not threat or anything. Its illegal. Just qualcomm doesnt expect anything illegal so why tolerate this?

Insanity is knowing what is wrong and still keeping quiet. Insanity is working at Qualcomm or any company that treats you as if you are worthless. Then you will eventually start treating yourself like you are worthless. If you want only USA graduated people then go ahead and hire only those, why hiring folks from elsewhere? to save money?
