Online or Ground?
Two main issues with online, OPDs (when they existed before being terminated and offered the same job plus 8 classes at a faculty salary) I digress, OPDs had no control over entering students, if admissions accepted them regardless of gpa or portfolio quality, it was mandatory they be allowed in and then up to OPDs and faculty to keep them in classes. Second, faculty are assessed based on student contact, phone calls, videos in the class, positive feedback, student retention in classes and continuing to another class, and passing students with a C or better are necessary to keep their jobs (does Middle States know that part???).
Online faculty are told not to inflate grades but also get a negative evaluation on the PPAR for C- to F grades.
It’s a business.
I was a career advisor for over a decade. The graphic design portfolios for online were horrible. Their bachelor degree was equal to a third quarter on ground. Taking a class does not create a cohesive body of work. You can’t include a packaging piece with misspelled words and kerning problems in the type. Online appeared to let them do what they want and the missing piece is a decent critique. No one from online was employable in graphic design.
Ha Ha Ha
On ground hands down!
Online hasn't a clue what needs to be taught or how.
As far as design degrees graphic, interior, fashion, and basic education, history, k-12 and business, management, you can learn what you need online.
Art, anything medical, nursing, dental, vet tech, psychology, sciences, real academic degrees that should lead to a masters or doctorate, live ground campus.
However, there is no difference in education quality from a ground or online Ai, AU or SU. They are all scams to lure in innocent students who have no idea what a real college education is and have access to financial aid.
