We are not just in the semiconductor business anymore
Guys just to be clear we do the ha e anything g like tech support. In semiconductor business we don't have anything close to giving "tech support"
Every group under Hock has an expiry date. Some sooner, some later. Collect your RSUs as long as you can.
There won't be dozens of products. The mainframe will be kept as a cash cow and the others strip-mined and sold off to pay the bills. 10-15 people should be plenty to support the mainframe portfolio enhanced by some new offshore hires, likely in Malaysia.
@UwTiTnJ-kbh in what world do you think 10 to 15 people can support dozens of software products? Get real.
Can't speak for customer care. I'm in tech support. Plenty of us left in NA (for now).
Are you sure you are a CA folk?
Which world do you live?
They chucked ALL customer care languages to India. Newbies who know nothing about the processes, or the products, or the company, and worst of all, know nothing of the markets they will serve, have replaced seasoned professionals. Our team of 10 had combined 120 years of experience. And yet, none of us were given a fair chance to stay.
The troubles already started and counting:
Customers in other Countries complaining/ cancelling their contracts. Issues are about the communication(India reps can't even Speak English well trying to communicate in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish...
They are even using Google translator to localize the CA products names in other languages. How amateur and pathetic. No wonder why this company will never be in the top fortune list or in the best workplaces.
Try ask them something different of what they were trained. You will freeze their brain! A standard answer(that won't solve your problem) will be given followed by "can I close the case"?
100% guarantee this will be outsourced. I heard you have over 1,000 people doing this. In the new world 1,000 will go to 10 - 15 people in total. MAX.
I don’t think Hog tan cares about customer.... service, even he does, it will most likely go to malaysia, his home country, rather than India.
