“Has been denied last week”? That must be “tense”.

My request for a family visa has been denied last week. I'm a Canadian... was told they wouldn't process it till the situation improves. It could've been just that particular government official... I was told to wait for a month and reapply.

Did any of the resident disgruntled ex-Saudi Aramco employees actually have an exit interview? Or posted a review to Glassdoor? If so please tell all...

The only thing 5 star about Aramco is that if you're halfway competent, you are a genius relative to your peers. I'm amazed on a daily basis with some of the things I read and hear.

But turning Qatar into an island is one of the better ideas coming from KSA. Let's just see how long it takes to get a contractor to finish the job.

Indeed is not a blocked site from Aramco computers. Many job search sites aren't blocked.

Seems to be random as to what is blocked and what isn't. So that definitely fits with management around here. RANDOM. It's not always bad or good. Just random.

Ha ha , your desperation is showing, everyone knows (at least those who worked for large US companies) that certain websites are blocked from work servers and available on your personal ISP. Saudi Aramco is no different, maybe a little stricter but the reality nevertheless. Now who is the asinine sounding one? The fact is the overall majority of reviews are positive and the rankings of a few disgruntled ex-employees are in a very small minority.

They really are that dim-witted

You must know how asinine it sounds to claim you cannot access sites that you yourselves highlight as examples of how great your company is.

You people cannot possibly be that dim-witted.

It is rubbish - unless your corporate culture incorporates lying, cheating, and corruption at every level to get ahead and maintain personal and corporate image. Only then does a broken english raving review by an “advanced english instructor” and a review that says “they forced me to do a review” and many, many other 5-star reviews with no details make perfect sense.

These things are there. It is difficult to claim that what is there in black and white is “rubbish” when anyone anywhere can open them and determine for themselves.

SO Again: You self-appointed corporate trolls are badly losing here. Allow affected employees to discuss these topics and stop trying to market the company, trash the current and former employees, and save your image while they talk. Move on.

Rubbish, there is no way anyone can be forced to write an online review. You cannot even access the site from the company.

Add to that - the PIF is not even in the top 5 shareholders at Tesla. They have no say one way or another what happens to the company.

They are positive yes. But one of your colleagues finally snitched online in March of this year when he mentioned in his review on another company review site that he was being forced to do a review. A policy we already knew about that started approx. two years ago.

Aramco is doing this on both sites and like your obviously saudi posts we can spot them as soon as we click.

You forgot we were on the inside and knew about these things already. Forgetfulness goes with IQ.

Unlike corporate audits and training assignments and meetings with management you get zero points for lying and cheating here. Best to shut up and move on. 5 star reviews in broken english using bad grammar posted for example by “advanced english instructors” pretty much summarize another failed attempt (one in a growing list of them) to “look” good with no good to be found. Have a nice day - Saudi troll.

The Glassdoor reviews of Saudi Aramco are overwhelmingly positive. The negative comments on this site are at odds with the majority view on Glassdoor. Just saying.

I see Saudi has no interest in bailing out Tesla run by the South African-Canadian-American Musk https://www.reuters.com/article/us-tesla-musk-saudi-exclusive/exclusive-saudi-arabias-pif-has-shown-no-interest-in-bankrolling-tesla-buyout-idUSKBN1KW0FA When do these requests for handouts stop...

There is only one refinery in eastern canada that buys Saudi oil in Canada. Saudi oil accounts for 1/3 of their 300,000 bpd refining capacity. If the refinery (IRVING Oil) is forced by the government, or public opinion, to stop buying Saudi oil, you may see retaliation from Riyadh. Retaliation could be to kick some Canadians out o KSA. That's all the Saudi's have left as recourse.

My observation of this dust-up is that MSB has demonstrated to be very thin skinned. Something as

innocuous as the comment from Canada's foreign affairs minister has caused MSB to completely lose it. He has demonstrated little restrain and the impetuousness one might expect from a young leader. The trade between Canada and KSA is not material, and not a single Canadian cares one iota about KSA, its people and the Royal family. The only people that will suffer are the Saudis that are studying in Canada, the medical interns, and those receiving medical treatment. It's really a "nothing burger" for Canada in the end.

It is up to each individual to decide if Saudi Aramco is a premium employer. I don’t understand why you spend so much time whining on this website when you must be gainfully employed with a US premium employer since leaving Saudi Aramco. Tell us what makes your current employer so premium.

You are not. Don’t kid yourselves. Your markets are rock solid. Look around you. Who’s getting regionally pummeled? You see any investment happening over there? No, what you see is a sick and twisted belief system being dismantled by force of necessity, not because the id--ts running things thought of it themselves. If they are so stupid they take away what they do need and you do not need it’s just an example of self-shooting yet another body part.

We may be trying to balance trade and may not be doing so in the most optimum way but we aren’t stupid and we know who shares our values. Don’t mistake public silence for inaction. This will pass and there will be winners and losers. So far the saudis are 0-4 in the winner box over the last 2-3 years with their silly policies and I don’t see that pattern changing anytime soon. If tweets of all things can feed them their own noose from a safe distance so much the better.

Maybe. When they are they will be surprised to learn that they lose nothing but endless mind-numbing circle-jerks.

Money? The same.

Aramco is not a premium employer and absent the money with nothing to do with it (the only difference left) Aramco has nothing else to offer. When the time comes - welcome home!

There is no reason to layoff Canadian expats when there are so many better qualified layoff candidates amongst the American expats.

The most polluted and corrupted swamp has to be Louisiana. Saudi Arabia is quite dry, rather sandy, not swampy at all in comparison. Saudi Aramco remains an oasis for Saudis and skilled productive expats willing to contribute to its continued success and that includes Canadians who are the nicest North Americans on earth.

But only one thats made it his life's work to preach doom and gloom against a company that keeps on expanding production, expanding into different countries and growing its market. Most of the others move on and get over it. He's like a bitter ex-spouse that stalks her ex.
