I know this site is supposed to be about bashing DCEH and I don't mean to interrupt anyone's bashing party but, despite ALL the problems (and there are tons of problems), I for one am rooting for them to pull it off. Every year 10-15 nonprofit colleges close down, teach out, go bankrupt or merge to save themselves. What DCEH is trying to do is not easy. The last company to attempt something at this scale is ECMC (not to be confused with EDMC) with its Zenith Education Group campuses. They have MORE campuses on teachout than not on teach out. Again, nonprofit is not easy. Sorry to interrupt anyone, you can proceed with your DCEH bashing. Hahaha :)

OBS -- so right if they really cared they would have done things so very different -- actions speak louder than words
Let’s be real- If they cared about students they would have handled this differently. If they cared about employees they would have offered assistance in their transition out of the organization. The way they have gone about this is not to be respected.
Excuse me gentlemen?
It’s actually a prolapse from getting f---ed by DCEH the last 3 quarters.
As per the OP, I'm all for DCEH too. Honesty, excellence, and all around competence is their middle name, no doubt.
I pray we should all just settle down, take a deep breath, and come to our collective senses and stop all the uncalled for bashing in the earnest hope that the original OP is cured of the disorder that seems to be so virulently afflicting his obviously festering anal tract.
1bqw plus one. Btw the original post assumes DCEH motives can be trusted. Their behavior strongly suggests otherwise.
May be a good thing - yes it is hard -- but the method is not what were lead to believe would happen - same ol' tricks -- we are all very disappointed. If dceh really means what they what us to believe -- then replace all of ai online admins if you want any level of success -- they are responsible for the start of the low morale and dceh was the frosting on the cake.
Online admin retaliate, discriminate, harass and don't know anything about teaching and mostly don't know anything about running a business. They have no code of ethics, no integrity, have no respect for faculty and do no t know what the heck they are doing.
The bottom line of what is happening from the email sent by DCEH, campuses are closing, Au, Su, Ai, and the campuses remaining open, Ai anyway, will be turned into short term tech schools, teaching basic computer skills, software, etc., and all, yes from the email, all degree programs will be offered through AIO. The campuses will no longer be burdened with college level programs, AiO will take it all on themselves.
We had all hoped becoming a nonprofit would be a bit altruistic, that we all would be helping people, but it is the same or worse recruiting practices, admissions practices and financial aid scams. It is sad, the hope we all had for AI and DCEH is dead, accreditation is up in the air and Christian values and ethic we had hoped for are being made to look like a scam as well.
But it's a job, buyer beware.
^^^^^ unless you are one of the employees on the street or a displaced stident.
Thanks that was needed. However, they would bash whoever took over. What is happening is a good thing for South, Argosy and Art Institute.
