That’s the future I see for eBay, and once a faded company gets bought by private equity, anything resembling a good workplace is out the window. It’s all about squeezing profits and spending bare minimum. Customers will be even more unhappy because service will drop and next to no product improvements will be made.

Club deals are out and this would be a massive deal. Talking $40 billion plus, including debt.
That would make it probably the second biggest leveraged buyout in history, after the Energy Future/TXU bloodbath. And by far the biggest tech LBO ever, well bigger than First Data, which also didn't work out so swell.
And if you consider eBay to be a retailer... well, all the big retail LBOs just went swimmingly well.... Hello Toys R. Us and Sports Authority!!
