Thread regarding Atlassian Corp. layoffs

Atlassian layoffs 2018

In case somebody missed it, we are having major layoffs at Austin. Over 100 people will be out of a job by the end of September. That's nearly a third of the workforce here.

For those interested, more info is available here:

Wondering if you heard the news about Atlassian? As of October 1st, OpsGenie is officially the newest member of the Atlassian product family. The acquisition allows Atlassian to deliver end-to-end Incident Management through tools like OpsGenie working with Jira, Statuspage, Slack, etc. This will be a game changer...

The #1 reason Opsgenie is chosen by companies when evaluated against PagerDuty is the integrations, especially the bi-directional ServiceNow integration. Additionally, the ability to notify 'next user' or 'previous user' in an escalation policy allows team admins to house on-call rotations in 1 schedule instead of creating a bunch of schedules in PagerDuty.

Also, Opsgenie's Incident Command Center and Incident Response Orchestration allows companies to not only notify the right IT personnel and allow them to collaborate, but also keep business stakeholders up to date with 'stakeholder' notifications.

Here is a case study about EBSCO Industries who chose to pump the brakes on PagerDuty at the last minute and ultimately chose to look into and partner with Opsgenie:

And a webinar, "Getting the Most out of ServiceNow & Opsgenie Together":

Do you have 15 minutes to discuss further tomorrow?
