To "Oh dear god": What do you say now? You probably didn't believe the rumor mill when they said Cabela's is getting sold. You certainly didn't believe SOHO would close. Yet here we are..... when will some people wake up and realize these companies DO NOT have your best interest in mind? They don't care, never have. You should have been on the outs the moment Cabela's released you. Instead, you took at 30% pay cut to stay in this hell hole, for what? To have to go through the embarrassment of getting fired...twice? I realize it's terrible to have to realize your livelyhood is under fire, however, if you'd have prepared yourself and looked for a new job when the rumors started, you'd be in a lot better place than "OH dear god not more rumors". Every. Damn. Rumor. has come true. Everyone. "Cabelas is selling!" No one believed it. "Cabelas is laying off everyone!" No one believed it. "Soho is closing!" No one wanted to believe it. At some point you have to grow up and face reality.
the Mexican Resteraunt across from the dollar store as well closed.
Doentown is a ghost town, So how do you explain that away Mr. All Caps
The Mexican restaurant by Safeway did close and the craft store
BP, Quad, layoffs, more layoffs. All of these main ones and more were all discussed on this site. All were true.
I'll give you the restaurants, but who made you the rumor authority?
did Appleby's Safeway the Mexican restaurants go out of business. did bass pro buy cabelas just to close it down. you name the rumor it is probably wrong on this site. however if you post a few rumors a day you might get lucky and be right once.

There is no news as you can see from the posts earlier in the thread. If you have friends that work at Quad, you should advise them to look for livelihood elsewhere and not believe what that company is telling them. Quad history across the country sets a pattern for layoffs and not looking out for workers...google it
If you have to stay in Sidney, I get it, but if you don't have to, you should have been looking for another job for at least a year now.
To get back topic any other news concerning Quad I still have friends and family in the area

It is my eyes that are open, yours are fogged as well as your head is in the sand.
Considering the domino affect/effect there is not that much left in Sh--ney to topple at this point, most anything and everythng that was local has either closed or moved on the greener pastures.
To those who have decided to stay and stick it out best of luck to you, you will need it.
Sh--ney is living proof when greed and nepotisim are left to run unckecked, the chosen few win and the lowly masses are left to pay the piper his due.
Just like Cabelas, people at Quad are holding on to a thread and believing what their employer is telling them (Quad is experts at this because they lay off people all the time) All of this will come as a "surprise" and they blame everything on others when they should have known this was coming for a while now.
I wish them luck, but come on people, what will it take for you to wake up. You should be experts at reading all these sign by now.

agree. the spoils and leftovers are the current sidney quad creative. yikes!
Cabelas outsourced it, not BP. BP was supposed to give Quad a deceision by 5/31 but of course didn't. I guess they still have not made a decision and Quad is telling their people anything to get them to stay. Even telling them they are bringing in other businesses. I still get the catalogs and they still look like a jumbled mess so not sure I would trust Quad or it's "creative" people with designing anything.
Just like Cabela's was not for sale and would not be sold eh.......
Why would they outsource to Quad and then close it? Not going to happen.
