I left Walmart (home office) in Bentonville in early May of this year. I'm working in the Dallas metro area now. My new employer gave me a $3500 sign-on bonus, plus a relocation package and the pay is 23% higher. And, I'm working 8 hours a day, not 9. The benefits are better and the part I pay is cheaper. They have free drinks and snacks in the break room. There's no forced evaluation curve. I can flex my start time and stop time. Management and leadership is genuinely nice.
People, if you're staying at Walmart in Bentonville thinking anything is going to change, then you're a fool. It's as simple as that.
And to all my old friends, I feel for you most of all. I'm not sure why you continue to put up with it. Believe me, Walmart has no loyalty to you. Not anymore.
