Should I dare hope we are looking at better days because there's been little if any chatter on more layoffs? Or is that too much to hope for?

Well, i would have a conversation with HR, but they all left. Except for the brunette with the " what me worry" smile. Now, i hear that HR just asks you to watch a video at the kiosk in the field office, which explains your severance package.
I will turn in my hardhat with counterfeit sticker, and keys to the truck; but im keeping the knock off Brooks and Dunn FR jeans from China. Those jeans are worth a fortune now that DT announced new 200 billion tariffs against China.

The consensus is that the mass exodus of staff after the last layoff has mitigated the need for another large scale layoff. Sure, there will be the continual “right sizing” of useless scum that refuse to go away. The surprising thing was the most recent release of an EC member.
