None of this, the layoffs since 2016, the sale to become a fictitious non profit, would have happened if Bernie hadn’t started to threaten for profit colleges. When he was forced out of the running by DWS, Hillary’s muscle at that time, Hillary picked up the gauntlet and ran with it. Bill was on a for profit board until that point as well.
If edmc execs had waited, they’d be even richer than they became through the sale. Just sayin’.
hlj- You have obviously never been inside one of these schools. The students coming in are not your typical high school graduate. They all have a story and the admissions people are trained to think that everyone that has a "dream" will succeed. It is a weird brainwashed kind of mentality. I think they are led to feel guilty if they actually don't think someone will succeed. (I wasn't in admissions). The students have never been successful before and now they are told that they will "could be". If you have ever seen a really fat woman wear tiny clothes and think she looks so "hot", these are the students they bring into the school. These students don't self assess and have no role models to teach them. Example- Donald Trump thinks he is a genius.
For years it has been in the news that these for profits are no good. Why can't any of the students take that responsibility? They knowingly enrolled in these poor excuses for a college. Why?? They were OK with taking all that money from the government and now they don't want to pay it back!!! Stupid is as Stupid does!!!
