Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Q3 earnings call is before the deal expires!

Earnings call: 01:45pm Pacific Time

Deal expires: by 11:59 p.m. New York City time on July 25, 2018.

11:59 PM NY time is 8:59 Pacific Time, so the earnings call is at least 7 hours before the expire time. Why did they to arrange a call after the deal expires? Probably they know already that China has not approved?

In that level, day, time are chosen under scrutiny, by analyzing zillions of times. in this particular case deal expiry date is after earnings call. They planned it knowingly weeks, weeks before. So do your math what it can mean.
