Thread regarding FTD layoffs

If you don't like it here, leave

I see layoffs have brought out the worst among us in droves. Everybody is suddenly complaining about FTD and yet everybody keeps working here. If things are so bad why don't you leave?

I like working here. That's why when rare layoffs happen I'm always stressed out. I don't want to lose the job I enjoy. The company is finally getting back on its feet with new leadership. The transformation requires some sacrifices, but those who survive will be better off for it.

This is a good place to work and it will be even better if you whiners are gone.

How are YOU a part of US if you still work there? It just shows how out of touch you are if you are only now realizing that people are complaining about FTD. The concerns and complaints have been been there from those of US in the trenches, but of course they go unnoticed.

I enjoyed my time at FTD, all good things come to an end. The ending is just the beginning of a new chapter waiting to be written. I wish everyone here all the best.

(Executive Leadership Team as a service) ELTaaS? That would be interesting.

Whoever wrote this has no empathy for what the remaining people are going through at FTD. You have a lot of scared people here because of the uncertainty of what just happened and the future of what looks like another 100+ year old dying company. We lost a lot of family members (coworkers) here and you want us to just forget them, be professionals and keep pushing through to ensure that the shareholders and customers are happy. How do we do that when so many here are scared and feel forgotten? Was any counseling offered to the workers? Nope.

But don’t worry, your message was heard loud and clear. There will be an exodus of people leaving this company because of statements like yours. Nice way to be a family member. You sound more like the problem that put this once great company on life support. It’s going to take time to adjust to the new roles that have been dumped on us without warning. There is going to be a lack of trust towards the ELT. This is the 2nd time, in two years, that the CEO and other ELT members have been removed. Maybe, we should get rid of the ELT and hire a consulting firm to run this place. They would care just as much.

There are a lot of legit criticisms here. Also, let’s not jump the gun and say FTD is getting back on its feet. Right now it’s clawing itself out of a situation.

It's possible for someone to enjoy working at FTD and because they care about the company be critical of it.
