Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

No AIs will be around past the end of the year

2018 makes sense. The walk to Starbucks talk at our remaining open campus is the semester conversion is just to keep everyone busy and focused on work. It is something to convince the students the school is stable and improving. No one is talking to students about all of the layoffs at other campuses according to our dean “it does not affect them.”

No one on campus thinks any Ai will be around past the end of the year. We do not have a lot of people here, admissions, advisors and faculty were cut a few years ago, president, vp, ad and dean are in their own clique and only tell us what we already see in the emails from DCEH.

Middle States will review any statements/reports submitted by August 31 from AiP and give a written statement of their intent by November 15. The MS team on campus last week wanted the faculty to be involved and said they should know what is in the report before it is submitted.

They want to make sure AiP is autonomous from DCEH and makes decisions with faculty input.

My guess is the last MS accreditation report would have won 3 Pinocchio‘s and the new report will win 5 Pinocchio‘s.

Agreed on our campus, we are open, but will close come 2019.

That's the gut feeling we all have...

No more Ai.

Feeling is Aio will have accreditation withdrawn -- so Aio goes full tech school no accreditation -- dream center has a hiring ad out for a senior instructional designer to work in chandler, az - everyone's guess is Aio will be moving headquarters to AZ....anybody's guess --

Sure would be nice if someone from DCEH would tell staff and faculty about the issues with Middle States...radio silence from the company. How does this play into the whole "integrity" issues they are facing when they won't even inform their students and faculty that accreditation may be disappearing in a month?! Would be nice for them to do something ethical..perhaps tell all the students they pushed online after closing schools that their "new" school may be worthless....and maybe tell staff and faculty that they may have no jobs in a month.

The Middle States statement giving AiO until August 31 to submit enough information with cause not to pull accreditation beginning September 1 seems to support the theory of all Ais closing within the year. http://www.msche.org/Documents/SAS/22/Public%20Disclosure%20Statement.htm

Last week, plus a general FuQue&A BS session. Keep enrolling students and placing them in classes even though classes already began, call them and be their friend, keep them entertained and smiling so they’ll enroll next session too.

Unethical has been used a lot about Ai, but that is what it is. The students are not smart enough to see through the BS and keep forking over their money, even when given information on the schools closing and opened schools becoming software training centers.
