Thread regarding JetBlue Airways Corp. layoffs

Major layoffs coming to JetBlue

We were notified today that new reorganization is on the way and that layoffs will be a major part of it.

No numbers given yet, but from the looks of it, it will be brutal.

It was said that they'll offer voluntary layoffs as well, so that's something.

Next few weeks will be a nightmare while we wait to find out which areas will be hit and whose names are on the list.

Good luck all!

Too many JetBlue employees in West Pam Beach. Could have them cleaning aircraft on turns and overnight aircraft. Too many Supervisors and upper management that are not part of the operation and should be. Need to look at saving money do it with keeping great customer service. There are quite a few complainers regarding having to work too many flights in a 6 or 8 hours shift. I work for the contract ABM company that works with boarding wheelchairs and would love to work for JetBlue that is how i see the complaining that happens here. Need a undercover boss come in and give an agent a hard time see how rude they act with a customer. JetBlue can save money by downsizing or contracting out. Most JetBlue employees would stay with the contract i have seen it with United Air Lines that's under contract upstairs and ramp side.

Today is thurs 11/7/19. 37 days later, many crew members in both Salt Lake City and in Orlando are still in a state of limbo. 37th day of non-paid suspension. No information. No news, no phone calls, no follow. Seems this interrogation was a way to get people to resign. So they would not have to comply with Warren rules and advise that they were laying off. Possibly they have been called on their c-ap. What do you think ??

it is true. On Oct 1st, 250 res agents in both Orlando and Salt Lake city were called in and interrogated. About half of them refused to go though the interview. So they ..... resigned. The other half were put on suspension, pending an employment review.

Was the Friday’s off the only round or more coming ? With the earnings call and falling stock , I think another round is coming.
