Was attending OSCON this week, and they have a booth already recruiting new employees less than a week after laying off 500+ people. What a screwed up company, with zero loyalty to their own. All they care about is inflating the stock price for the investors.

I remember a week after the very first round of layoffs, they hired two or three vice presidents with the strangest and most vague job descriptions I had ever heard of.
“Recruiting” doesn’t necessarily mean “hiring”. Most of these recruiting events are more for advertising of sorts- to get the name known & recognized as a tech company. This isn’t specific to CDK Global.
After I was layed off a month after McD took over in the 1st round. No soon after they announced the new big thing. Hiring 150 new people for the Center of Excellence ? Saw pictures online, and it made me sick ! I was out of Hoffman Estatese, in the field, a front line field technician with many dealerships.
CDK Global is worst company to work. They are looking for cheap resource and moving all work to low paying country. They are posting and showing recruitment effort to avoid lawsuit by employees and regulators. There is NO new innovation in CDK Global.
Higher paid seasoned employees. More then likely older too. Which stinks getting rid of quility employees. Out with the old and in with the new. Why pay more when you can get a new employee at a fraction of the cost. Thats CDK's logic.
They shed high salary for low salary. Typical but each new wave knows less about their software than the previous team.
