I was just told I was being laid off in October 2018, unless they find another position within the company, which I highly doubt. My take is that in October, I turn 50 years old and they are firing anyone over 50 this year, probably during their birthday month.
Either that or they lost a BIG account because NOBODY would listen to ERRORS and get it together!!!! I worked for them for OVER 12 years!!!!
I was laid off after working there for 11 years, was hired back 3 months later for 45% less pay but in a very similar position, then laid off 3 years later again. Miserable excuse for a company, and the VP over the Melbourne location is an insufferable save-a-- who doesn't care who his actions make look bad or hurt, as long as he comes out smelling like a rose.
I was just laid off 5 days ago with absolutely no notice via a pre-recorded message. I've worked there for nearly 10 years. This is ridiculous!
Transcribers are machines. People are transcriptionists.
were you/are you in Nuance transcription, or elsewhere in the company (Sales, Finance, Development, etc)? Nuance has a separate company for the Medical transcribers, and they have long been part of repeated cycles of layoffs.
