It looks like Qualcomm deal will truly be dead in the water next week. I honestly don't know how I feel about this. We are looking at layoffs either way, so hopefully this option ends up bringing fewer of them.

Well... don't know about opportunities but most of the Americans seem to be looking after themselves. Not sure how smart they are as they usually don't know very much. But they seem safe doing things like Project management, other types of operation management, marketing, low forms of engineering. Many don't seem to have any skills. But they seem protected. Maybe its a game but it just looks like they use Asian staff and then lay them off when they need to clean things up. 同病相怜 Misery is attractive.
Thinking about going back to Asia. What do the rest of you think? This has turned out to be a complete mess. All I can think is there are better companies in Asia, or soon will be. I am sure there are more opportunities there than here in Chandler (FSL).
After Q goes away, N has to organize an earnings call again because there won't be a pending acquisition any more because of which excuse they couldn't publish fwd looking statements. Now in this next call all vultures (investors) will try to get a piece of meat. Stock will have a descent. A lot of groups burned money for 4 quarters for nothing. N has to give something to the investors in the next call and immediately. The fastest is buyback and layoff. Prepare the CVs :-)
