Where do we think these well managed internal business groups will land? What third party would even want them and why? Is there any benefit in staying with this sinking ship? Is there a chance an A game marquee company could take over? Or will the groups be assimilated into to some third world third class supplier? Career downgrade. (As if GEs name isn’t embarrassing enough already).

GE digital value is $0, unless the acquirer gets 10 year IT services contract from all other business units within GE.
I heard a decision has been made.
Cheers to BU IT success and Digital CT Risk failure!
As they say across pond, time to drain swamp.
GEITS was sold to Compucom in 2004. At least before this last digital transformation in May we were actually receiving hardware. Thankfully we pushed hard and still have our Compucom technicians onsite. They have been life savers since this last transformation. My BU is already planning on creating their own IT path. No one wants the "services" currently being provided by GE Digital. Forcing users to be hard down, herding users to post questions to boards with the same response "contact your MDP". No way to provide assistance to your employees. Employees now go to Yammer to read the ridiculous responses from Digital leadership for entertainment.
Not the first GE has sold its internal IT shop. Sold GEIS in 2002/03 leaving backbone network services.
It'd be funny if Tech Mahindra buys them out. They already provide server support, so this could help keep their foot in the door... :)
WWT or whatever no name supplier - how is this something any Risk or CT employee can be proud about? Did you see video with Jabba The Hutt in Chronyville? We are gonna keep you jointly informed as we screw you over the next few months methodically while negotiating our own golden parachutes
Wonder why people that got out are posting on this site. Is it to gloat. I think it is current employees that are trolling. WWT is one of couple companies looking at coretech and cyber security. What happens to the employees is based on how much work GE guarantees for service work for those functions after the split. I believe WWT has pretty good staff in those areas. GE will probably do like they have done in the past like with Wells Fargo. Move most of the staff and then after some pre-determined period they will lay off the low performers, managers and over staffed areas. As for files on low performs GE would never do that. Those files you speak of are the profiles of all the employees to determine best fit as they are moved to verticals.
If non big name is partner watch remaining talent left scatter like c---roaches with light shined on them. WWT will say WTF. They don’t want the high cost GE people anyway. Glad I got out before this with VJRP.
Oh that’s a great resume booster. GE to WTF?
I can imagine answering this question in an interview. Thanks GE!
IT services company WWT - based in St. Louis - is rumored to be the acquiring entity for CT and Risk org. Typical white male executive leadership culture.
