The job market is not as good as reported. In fact, its horrible if you are over 50. Factor that in with the looming housing market crash that is at the door, and... well, you know what's next.

hope you all have your food pantries stocked.

People that are staying are crazy. Leave don’t risk your health job market is good but financial services is a dead industry. Time to reinvent yourself now while the job market is strong.

Sometimes you need to step back to step forward.

There is stress if you get laid off and there is stress if you stay. If you are lucky, you get a severances package with some benefits. They payouts your vacation. If you stay, the pro system only allows a limited number of sick days. Vacation days will be use it or lose it. Benefits will be cut next year. If you at in a position to leave voluntarily you may want to get a head start. If you stay, the difficult part will be the increased workload. Either way it will stress anyone normal.

If DST allows you to cash out vacation you better cash out. The will write off your balances next March under pto plans. The will write it off then lay you off so you don’t get the payout. If bonuses are due they will cut the employees by feb so they won’t qualify for the bonuses. Seen it happen before at ssnc

You better use all your vacation by the end of this year. once 2019 it will use it or lose it meaning they will not allow you to carry over the balance, They wont let you cash out. If you live in a state that allows them to do it, they will write off your vacation balances.

If your job is making you sick then it’s time to focus any/all your free time to finding a better job. If you aren’t able to do that, then you will eventually get laid off and choices will be slim. We’re talking a situation where your odds of having meaningful work are ultra slim at SS&C. It’s one thing to complain, but if you aren’t putting in work to get out then you own part of the outcome.

Just move on to not caring like me, the company sure doesn't care about you. Use this time you're still employed to find your next position.

Best case scenario, you get let go with another job in the works, worse case scenario you get a better employer.
