Ha. I don't even see how they could enforce that now as the press has gotten wind of that clause.
There's a reason they never told faculty about that. At first I thought there was some jaded exaggerations going on. Then I saw Halperin's postings of it.
For students contemplating their options, look at every one and make the best choice for yourself. At my closing campus, there's a nearby open one. However, they are being complete jerks about accepting credits and students. Most programs at my school are offered online (despite the farce that they might be) so the $5000 won't be an option that's open to them. There's the loan forgiveness option which might be the best case for many. I realize that means starting over but as someone who is leaving the area because the job options for my industry are slim, I think it might be the best option.
I should note that I went to one of the best art schools in the country and still struggle with making enough in an area where the cost of living has pretty much doubled in the nearly 10 years I've lived here.
