Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Reduced severance

I've been reading about reduced severance in following rounds of layoffs. Where did this info come from? Is it true?

You get minnimum 10 weeks severance max 52 counted from the date of the merger. So if we are 6 month in that 1 year pay ( if you been here forever and have the tenure) is reduced by 6 months. That is what I was told by someone whos father is in management at dst so I can be wrong.

It will be less and less. Cost controls in 2019 will reduce severance payments further. I’m not sure you want the ssnc severance as it will be reduced compared to the dst one. Just remember 2019 they do not have to honor any of the prior commitments. Slash and cutting will play a major role in long term savings.

Nope we got plenty for getting a new lease on life and new careers! Feel sorry for the so called hangers who cling to the hope that they will keep their positions for yet another month. So very sad!

@UZnxe4K-eat - Oh, we got plenty. We knew what we were going to get. Don't worry about us.

Probably from the people let go in June that didn't get nearly as much as they thought they were.
