Thread regarding Kroger Co. layoffs

Kroger has significantly cut bagger positions

I was in a hopping full store today on Saturday this Labor Day weekend. It has become typical to expect less than 50% of lanes to be staffed with baggers. Today 3 out of 14 lanes had baggers. My options given the significant downsizing of force has become Clickc-ap, U-scam or self service bagging. Today I protested by bagging (I counted) 71 items separately. Pretty much made up my mind to go online today. Kroger can continue to outsource their jobs to the customer but eventually they will get fed up - hence record store closings.

THE REASON THAT THERE ARE NO BAGGERS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY MAKE $ 8.25 AN HOUR AND ARE NOT ELLIGABLE FOR RAISES. THAT IS HERE IN TEXAS. AS OF OCTOBER 6, 2019 THERE HOURLY PAY IS NOW $ 10.00 AN HOUR, WHOOP WHOOP. YET THEY ARE STILL NOT ELLIGABLE FOR ANY RAISE. THE EMPLOYEES AT KROGER RECIEVE A .25 CENT YEARLY RAISE. NO BONUSES, NO INCENTIVES JUST A .25 CENT RAISE ONCE A YEAR. THE INSURANCE HAS BECOME A JOKE. THEY SHOULD JUST CALL KROGER , WAL-MARTS SISTER STORE. OH WAIT, CANNOT DO THAT, WAL-MART GIVES THERE EMPLOYEES RAISES TWICE A YEAR AND PROMOTES THEM.
