I assume the offer is being made by CA.

It has nothing to do with Broadcom.

Nobody can tell you anything about your future job security.

Best case is that all R&D move to India, which i Hope it will. Your position here will be Safe and you can expect competative package.

If you are joining workload automation team in India then there shouldn't be any issue as earnings/investments are good in workload automation space.

The details of what Broadcom will do is unknown. However, based on public information available we know that the CEO, Hock Tan, likes businesses that have strong competitive advantages over their competitors (e.g. dominant market control). CA maintains the #1 position in market share in the Workload Automation space. Hock Tan has also questioned why the CA workforce in India isn't larger.

I think it's a good bet that there will be many new opportunities in the new organization.

If this is Prague job, it is low risk and a great team to join. No one knows who will be laid off in the future but it is unlikely to be anyone productive in building mainframe software particularly in Prague.

Do not accept. Things are extremely uncertsin right now, and unless you are a masocist you should stay far away.

I recommend declining the offer. There is substantial risk to accepting and being RIF shortly after.

If it's Prague and ESP, it's a core product and doing well. I would say it's a good place to join if you're a good UX

But this is not core mainframe product and currently on maintenance mode only.
