A friend from the office who was laid off by CDK over a month ago says he still didn't receive his severance. Is this possible? How long does it usually take for severance to be paid out? Should he worry about this or is it business as usual?
I'd like to add he has no reason to lie to me, so I believe what he said is true.
My severance from the July mass Layoff comes as a continuance of normal pay until it plays out. This, after signing the papers to 'play nice' and hold them harmless. Their was no discontinuity in pay.
Did he sign and send back the severance agreement? I was laid off 7/12 and sent back my signed paperwork and have been receiving my checks bi-weekly as expected.
If he signed a termination agreement, he should take it to his lawyer.
He should be worried. Really Worried. Everyone that was left behind after the layoff received 50%-70% less in merit increases and bonuses than expected. Dan Flynn waited until the last minute to pull the rug from under the company and the staff. Business as Usual? Right!
