5 people in 5 different client groups were laid off that I worked with for years and they were all resourceful and knowledgeable

Poor decision making process.

Employee surveys are ALWAYS a tool to determine who the malcontents are. NEVER believe a survey is anonymous, and above all, NEVER be honest on an employee survey and express dissatisfaction. To do so will be your undoing with whatever company you are with.

I too was let was let go last Friday. Beyond my manager's control they just randomly selected employees regardless of performance. It was even reiterated that the layoff has nothing to do with performance. Worked in a Conduent business unit with a great group of folk. I will miss that more than the company itself. Saw so much dysfunctional stuff, but thought we would be fine since we always met out metrics. I guess that's bad luck for you.

just received word that I would be downsized/laid off on Friday (before Labor Day). Not performance related. I just joined this company 4 months ago and quit a good job as I foolishly (in hindsight) believed their promises. Unreal! Unethical, disorganized and untrustworthy. Run, don't walk away from this company

Did they collect any information prior to laying people off. My team members have been asked to provide their name, employee Id,location,Win ID,etc.

3 people in our team got the email,2 did not.

Massive RIF. Corporate Headquarters too. Barely any severance regardless of how long employed there. Cause: Corporate blew forecast for the rest of the year. Instead of restructuring propetly they just haphazardly weilded an axe. This is their idea of “fixing” the issue. Next quarter more to come.

AZ- I was let go today and I too just completed the employee survey. I find that pretty interesting! I’ve been with the company over 6 years and we just lost a person on our 3 person team, supposed to have another position opening yet my position was eliminated.

Sounds like it's happening in a lot of offices. Can confirm it happened at our office too, although it wasn't a large layoff. Can't say where though, sorry.

This news is troubling! Does anyone have an update to which offices/locations are being affected?

I was let go today. Next Tuesday would have been my 7 year anniversary with the company. Received outstanding reviews every year that they managed to get around to reviewing us.

I coincidentally completed the employee survey on Wednesday and indicated that I felt the company did not care about their employees.

I guess they showed me!

I was let go August 31, 2018. I'm 60 years old, been with the company for nearly 9 years in the HR Services group. It wasn't a perfect company to work for but I found a way to happy. And it really hurts. At my age it will be tougher to find another job. I wish all surviving Conduent employees the best of luck and suggest that it would be in your best interests to update your resumes asap.

I wonder why the WARN Act does not apply here....I was not given 60 days notice and I suspect the cuts are deep enough for the WARN Act to kick in.

Yes, They do care about people, but only certain people... THEMSELVES.

They will be richly rewarded with more bonuses for cost cutting.

As for the survey, that too has exec bonuses tied to it as evidenced

by the non stop pestering to participate even though it is voluntary.

Regardless of the disclaimer language used (anonymous, confidential) or any

other empty reassurances made, one thing is for certain, the information gathered

will be used to the detriment of employees overall whether participating or not.

We care about people, so let’s ruin their long weekend by RIFing them today. What a bunch of caring leaders.

And anyone thinking of taking the survey should read the disclaimer. Confidentiality is not anonymity.

EPH 6:10-12

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Someone let everyone know who all's affected once it happens.

Also, what a wonderful way to celebrate Labor Day, Conduent!
