Lost Accredidation - AI- Online

Does anybody know if Ai Online lost their accreditation in the past month? They are not allowing closing campus to transfer students to be fully online, but still allowing potential grads to take classes. My concern is for existing students, how is it possible for only certain courses to be accredited, if the accreditation should be granted to the entire school. Or is this the way DCEH is going to try to push these students out, by providing these students classes without accreditation. These students are working double, stacking up classes, to ensure they finish, which requires the online portions. It would be very upsetting to these students if their hardwork was not even rightfully accredited.

igpm you nailed aio’s Pinnacle.

Videos in the “lectures” must be close captioned to accommodate disabilities, then faculty are required to post videos to all students regardless of disability. Seems like JC and DB have no clue.

Hopefully they get full credit for their work on Pinnacle. More than likely with DCEH they’ll get promoted.

iwxi -- hahahahahahaa - well said -- it was embarrassing! so planned - but one faculty mentioned the new 'Pinnacle' -- and how successful it is -- hahhahaa -- MS doesn't know about Pinnacle -- the entire system of teaching and presenting information has no likeness to e-college at all....the system online was accredited for. Hahahah -- just opened a can of worms -- the MS guy asked - 'what's Pinnacle'? notice no one continued the conversation -- that was cut off fast.

Faculty have no say -- that was a joke -- an sme wrote the course only to have the rubrics controlled by the deans who have no background or education in the area they are writing the rubrics.

The students hate the client reference -- joke for some industries --

How about the due dates all over the place -- students are not happy with that.

How about forced video feedback -- academic freedom doesn't exist

Never mind the students that might have hearing issues

If faculty had any say -- the new system would not be like it is now - that's a JC and DB badge of merit -- they were not going to have faculty take that away from them...ha

Correctly noted, “When faculty have their turn with MS -- wanna bet it's moderated probably by JC and most definitely by JG -- Middle States should require they leave.”

JG moderated and you could hear JC in the background.

AiO faculty were muted and could not speak up and JG monitored the posts and only made public for viewing a few.

No one at AiO likes Pinnacle as a model for classes. The new classes keep students and teachers busy but are of no value as a higher education model of education. Seems like they’re created for the least common denominator and with the videos you do not need to be able to read. The assignments are so structured anyone can follow and complete. The grading is preplanned based on submission quantity (and due dates) not creative quality.

We are not allowed at AiPOD to discuss these things with the dean, we are simply told this is what you will do, compliance is the only option to keep your job.

MS still monitoring this page?

9/17 meeting of Middle States was a sham.

Handpicked faculty with tears in their eyes and a quiver in their voice touting the praises of a “prestigious” AiP and AiO education.

Adjuncts who were former full time faculty spoke of their “belief in the education at Ai.”

It showed the incestuous nature of DCEH schools, where former students become faculty and Ai faculty get degrees from other DCEH schools like Argosy and become deans.

The last 15 minutes were all of the people at AiP singing the praises of JC, dean of AiO.

People praised the online format as well and misled MS about it being “a faculty led” curriculum change. Faculty were forced into it. The SMEs hired to develop the course took word for word the old courses and just added video. How innovative is that?

Nothing was mentioned of switching to semesters.

Nothing was said about “one university.”

Anyone there notice anything else?

Scam to students, DOE and to MS.

If Middle States falls for the dog and pony show today, they need to be shut down as it will prove they are nothing more than a “for profit” accreditation scheme.

We’ll find out by 11/15 if MS was softened by the tears of students and employees who honestly could not attend any other school. Well, maybe Devry.

The decision won't be until mid November

Someone mentioned the size of the online classes -- stating 20 -- then others piped in stating upwards of 33 students -- that was the end of that discussion -- no more mention - if the size doesn't matter -- then why cut off any more discussion about it? How about adjuncts getting paid the same no matter if it's 7 students or 30 students. Rip off

That meeting was a stupid -- MS isn't going to ask questions like that or have discussions about anything they spoke about.

When faculty have their turn with MS -- wanna bet it's moderated probably by JC and most definitely by JG -- Middle States should require they leave.

Wednesday’s Meeting was a dress rehearsal for the Monday September 17 Meeting. The first half hour sounded like community theater actors rehearsing their lines. When they allowed a caller to speak she was cut off for being honest. Everything she said about accommodating students is exactly what JC (dean) expects, but shhhhh you’re not supposed to say it out loud.

Middle States please note AiP and AiO are trying to pull fast one on you.

Faculty asked if they could read the report sent to MS and we’re told they were hearing everything they needed to know. No transparency. No leadership just micromanaging of faculty and manipulation of information.

Hmmm what about this requirement -- how does 'one university' fit in? guess the word 'appropriate' let's them do anything.

6) that the institution operates as an academic institution with appropriate autonomy

You can check the official status here:

https://www.msche.org/institution/0840/

As of 8/31 it is still on “show cause” status meaning AiP and its online component are still accredited but at risk of losing accreditation.
