@ avc In no way am I defending Managers at the HO or Store or Club Managers in the field, a lot of times they are kept in the dark and truly don't know. In some cases they do know and do lie because they are not permitted to release that information. I worked in the HO for 10 years. Each manager had to grade their team in an order of importance/most valuable so that when it came to layoffs, the associates at the bottom had the greatest chance of being kicked to the curb. I would be surprised if the same is not done in the store.

I have found that Club Managers will not tell you the truth when asked about layoffs. Then months later most of the things posted on here come true. I will trust the rumor mill.
