We were told for three months during two other stores' liquidations that our store would remain open. We helped close those other two stores while still also working at our own store. They even let us hire in a new cashier, sent her for her tests/bg check etc, and in less than a week later are telling us that no, our store is closing. RA had no idea, it was a last minute WAG decision, and they have basically been letting us lie to our customers' faces (a lot of whom were -really- unhappy or upset or defeated coming from another store that had already closed and were at least willing to accept that we would be able to still serve them) - those customers were lied to, we were lied to, and we feel like we were led on simply so that we wouldn't QUIT before the other two stores were liquidated. Terrible practice, and it's really tragic when customers know the store will be closing 2 weeks before the employees are told anything. We were completely blindsided by the lies. Really looking forward to finding a job elsewhere as seeing how WAG upper management led us on and deceived us makes me not want to work for a company that shady and low.
