Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

Left on my own

I worked for amazon, for about 2 months. I was a packager, you had to meet a certain time and your numbers had to be good on the line.

It was hot, no air movement and the line was constantly getting backed up or jammed.

The managers tried to get us motivated by passing around one fun sized candy to each of us.

We had one 30 min lunch and two 10 min breaks.

The break room and work area were so far from each other, by the time you took a piss and shoveled a snack and chugged a monster for your 12 hour shift, it was time to rush back.

The breaks were useless, all you could do is tinkle and walk back. You did get a discount on amazon, but it was only 10% off certain items.

I stopped shopping there for the fast delivery due to the working conditions of the staff. I do consume the digital content or something if I can't find it locally to pick up and I always tag for longest delivery possible so that I am not driving poor working conditions, driving down prices to an unsustainable market level, and increasing traffic. Hope you landed well.
